Beauty Blender VS Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

After starting using the real techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, I wanted to try beauty blender and see how good it is. But to be honest, I was not very impressed by the result of beauty blender.

Sorry my beauty blender is a little dirty when it's dry. We can see when they are both dry, Beauty blender (BB) is obviously smaller than Real Techniques one (RT). When they are in wet condition, BB turned bigger a lot and RT just turned bigger a little.

About the quality, I will say definitely BB is better than RT. I don't know if it is just my unlucky that I got one RT sponge broke after I washed it for the very first time. But I have washed BB for several times and it is still in a good condition.

When they are both wet, BB feels more elasticity than RT and RT seems remain more water inside so it feels softer in hand. The only problem about BB is it will leave color in the water when you wash it, so get a white one is a better choice.

Then I will show the pictures of my skin before and after applied foundation with these two sponges.

I have dry skin with some freckles. Apply foundation with wet sponge is always a good way for me. Using sponge will achieve light to medium coverage but it's buildable. The results of these two sponges, to be honest, I didn't feel much difference. Maybe BB is a little bit finer than RT. That's why I said that I was not much impressed by BB.

About the price, RT is USD$6 on its official website and it is about CAD$10 in Canada (Amazon.ca). BB is USD$19.99 on its official website while it is CAD$26 in Canada (Sephora). But for the quality, I think beauty blender worth it. Also I heard from a lot of people that the quality of Real Techniques sponge is not always the same. So my opinion is if you have low budget, I will say RT is a good choice. But I think BB's quality is worth the money.

Sonia Kashuk Holiday Limited Edition Jazzed Up Nudes Lip Palette Review & Lip Swatches

Sonia Kashuk® Holiday Limited Edition Jazzed Up Nudes Lip Palette ($19.99)

As we all know that Target is going to quit Canada market. Before it started liquidation, I got this Sonia Kashuk nude lip palette. The package is simple but pretty with a big mirror and a lip brush. Let's see the swatches.
The first color is the lightest one in the palette. This color is a nude pink.

The second one is more like a brown nude.

The third one is more orange than the second one.

Compare to earlier, this color has a red tone. Still a little orange but also red.

This is the darkest shade in the palette but still very natural. I definitely see some purple tone in it. It is like a dusty rose color.

The colors in this palette are all very natural and quite similar. It will be a good idea to mix these color together to get the color you want. If you are also a big fan of these "your lip but better" color like me, it will be your favorite. The formula of this product is very moisturizing and applies very smoothly to the lip, but you need to build up the color. The smell is nice like vanilla cream. It's a little bit sticky but you can barely feel it. The package and color range are definitely my love so I recommend it. But it is not a product that is easy to take outside and use it. If you don't care about that, this is a good product for nude lipstick lovers.
