Zoeva brushes 226 Smudger, 221 Luxe Soft Crease and 110 Face Shape Review and Photos

I have heard a lot of highly recommendations about Zoeva brushes and I've always wanted to try them. But there are so store in Canada that I can get them. So I bought these from Zoeva online store. The shipping fee is pretty high. Zoeva supposed to be a very affordable brand but it's not that affordable with the shipping fee. So I really hope it will enter Canada market.

This is the comparison of these three brushes. Then let's talk into the detail.

226 Smudger Eye Brush https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/226-smudger/a-8000125/

This brush is pretty dense. The flat shape makes it easy to smudge the upper eyeliner when you don't want your eyeliner to be harsh. I also love using it to smudge my lower lash eye to create the smokey effect. It is dense but the bristles won't feel hard.

(Left: Sigma E55 Shaping   Right: 226 Smudger)
Through the comparison we can see the they have the same width but Zoeva is thinner than Sigma.

 221 Luxe Soft Crease https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/221-luxe-soft-crease/a-8000363/

I want a brush has the same shape of Sigma E40 but smaller and I found this one. Sigma E40 is a little longer for my eyes but this one is perfect. This brush is super soft. I always use this one to blend my crease or use this as the last step to blend out all the eyeshadows to make sure there is no harsh line. This is also good to contour the nose.

(Left: Sigma E40   Right: Zoeva 221)
From the comparison we can see zoeva is just a little smaller than E40, but it feels really different on eyelids. I prefer using sigma as the last step to blend out all eyeshadows and prefer using zoeva to blend the transition color in the crease.

110 Face Shape https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/110-face-shape/a-8000109/

This brush was designed for detailed contouring on your face. It of course good for that because of its shape. But remember to use a bigger brush to blend out the detailed contour line.
 I love using it as concealer brush also because of its shape. It blend out concealer nicely like a dream.

(Left: Zoeva 110 face shape   Right: Real Techniques Expert face brush)

From the comparison with Real Techniques Expert face brush, we can see the Zoeva one is really small. Actually it has the similar size of Real Techniques Contour Brush. But Zoeva is round head and Real Techniques one is tapered head. They are both perfect for contour as well as conceal the under eye area.

Even though I have only tried three of the Zoeva brushes, I really like them. Their bristles are so soft and easy to blend. And their price is pretty affordable. I will definitely get more of them in the future.

NEW Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Palettes in California Roll Review, Swatch & Photos

I found Wet n Wild new Coloricon Eyeshadow Palettes in Rexall two weeks before. It actually surprised me because it's not easy to see new Wet n Wild collections in Canada. Of all the shades, California Roll is my favorite. It has such a spring color selection. So I decided to buy it.

Here is the palette under the yellow light.

Here is the palette under the white light.

And here is the swatches of this palette on my arm.

I always like the eyeshadows from Wet n Wild. They are so affordable but their quality is also good. They always were a little powdery and thick but so smooth and soft. The powder of this new palette is definitely improved and finer than before. Only two red shades are matte and others are shimmery. They all have good color payoff and the colors are so cute and spring. Really like this palette and prepare for spring!

Jordana Blushes (Touch of Pink; Coral Sandy Beach; Apple Cheeks; Rose Silk) Review, Swatches & Photos

Jordana is not available in Canada so I bought these from Beautyjoint.com. The price is $2.99 which is very affordable. The color payoff of these blushes is very good especially the third one -- apple cheeks. Others is not that pigmented but definitely buildable. The powder of these blushes are not super fine but smooth and easy to blend! The color pigmentation is better than some high end brand. The only problem I would say is the package because it always takes me some time to open it.

No.18 Touch of Spice is a warm pink shade and seems to be some coral in it under the warm sun light. It has matte finish. This color is definitely suitable for spring and summer.

This color is very similar to the first one but shimmery version. It has some gold sheen that will give your cheek a nice glow.

This matte shade is a nice melon red and the pigmentation of it is super good. So be careful with this one. This color is very young and fresh. It seems like your freezing apple cheeks.

This one is my favorite one. Recently I am so into the natural shades and this one is the most natural one here. This is also a matte one and the color is like a mauve dusty pink. This color is very soft and easy to use for daily base. Definitely recommend it!

I hope Jordana will be available in Canada and I will buy more products from them for sure. The price is super affordable and the quality is quite good.

My Makeup Geek Single Eyeshadows Swatches & Review

Almost everyone is talking about Makeup Geek eyeshadows now, so I bought some and I put them into my Mac palette. The size of Makeup Geek eyeshadows is similar to Mac's, but notice that not like the Mac single refill eyeshadows, they don't have magnet at the back.

I bought 14 Makeup Geeks eyeshadows and one MAC single eyeshadow to build uo my own palette. Let's have a look.

Below is the swatches of them from top to bottom and from left to right.

Then into the detail part. Start from left side.

(L->R)Mac Soba; MUG Homecoming; Envy.

The first one from the left side is the only Mac one in the palette.
I saw other blog post said that Mac Soba is the same shade of Makeup Geek Preppy. The only difference is that Preppy is matte and Soba has a little bit sheen in it. But it's hard to tell on the eyes.

The middle one is Makeup Geek Homecoming  (Medium brown with gold shimmer). This one is one of my favorites in this palette. The shimmer of it is a little metallic but not strong. The color payoff is super good even when you just slightly touch it. The powder is not very fine but very soft and easy to blend.

The one on the right side is Makeup Geek Envy (Deep metallic green). To be honest, I am not a big fan of this one. This one is not as soft as Homecoming and also the color has too black but not the metallic finish I want. But it can be very good if you use it wet.

(L->R)Peach Smoothie; Chickadee; Cocoa Bear.

I am definitely in love with these three matte shades. They are all easy to blend and have good pigmentation. Start from Peach Smoothie (A light peach beige with a soft matte finish).  This one is very light so it is a perfect transition shade for light skin tone. This can make eye makeup very natural and cute.

Next one is a special color, Chickadee (Matte Yellow Orange). When I saw the picture one official website, I was so worried that this color won't be very daily and too bright. But actually it's not. It just warm up your eye makeup and feel so spring! I really like it.

Cocoa Bear (Matte reddish brown) is very popular for reason! It is a super warm brown and very unique. If you are suitable for warm eye makeup look., definitely check this one out.

(L->R) Cupcake; Cosmopolitan; Bitten.

Cupcake (Matte medium pink) is a matte dusty pink I would say. It's s very unique and cute color. Another shade Unexpected is the purple version of it. This would be a good transition color when you do pink or purple girly makeup.

I love Cosmopolitan (Rose Gold with gold flecks and a shimmery finish). I heard it is similar to Mac's Expensive pink. This is as soft and as good as Homecoming and I even think the powder is finer than Homecoming. This looks so good when applied on the whole eyelid.

Bitten (Matte deep maroon red) is also one of my favorites! This works so good on the crease to deep up the eye makeup.

(L->R) Prom night; Sensuous; Drama Queen.

Prom night (A pale purple with hints of grey and a shimmery finish) seems to be the dupe for MAC's Satin Taupe. This has the same quality of cosmopolitan. Love this too.

Sensuous (Shimmery Purple with Flecks of Silver) has nice color. But because of the flecks it feels not that soft. But the color payoff is quite good.

Drama Queen (A densely dark purple with a shimmery finish) has the similar feeling of Envy. But the color is nice. The deep purple is good to apply on outer V to deep up the look.

(L->R) Rockstar; Moondust; Galaxy.

Rockstar (Pale silver with purple iridescence) is so unique! The silver itself is not metallic finish but soft. It is described with purple iridescence, but I feel more like pink. You can tell it under the light. So pretty!

Moondust (Metallic silver taupe) is also my favorite. This has the same quality of Homecoming. Feel so soft when you touch it. and the color is easy to use on a daily base.

The last one is Galaxy (Metallic gunmetal). The feeling of this one is same as Drama Queen. I feel it has little flecks in it. But it is easy to blend on the eyes.

Overall, I really like Makeup Geek Eyeshadows. The regular ones are $5.99 each on the makeup geek official website, cheaper but some of them are as good as Mac eyeshadows. My top favorites of them are Cosmopolitan and Prom night because that these two's powders are the finest ones and they are super smooth and soft. Homecoming, Rockstar and  Moondust are also very good. They are also super buttery and soft, easy to blend , but I feel they are not as fine as the first two I mentioned. The matte shades are also good and easy to work with but they are not as buttery as Lorac eyeshadows. And the matte shades are all quite unique! I am not a huge fan of the rest, including Senseous, Drama Queen, Galaxy and Envy. For the price, they are good. But they are not as good as the previous ones. But the point I am sure is that they are all easy to blend and work with. This is just my opinion on these eyeshadows. Really willing to try the foiled ones! Hope this is useful for you to choose from them!

These lipsticks have vanilla cream smell which is super lovely. The texture is more like mousse than liquid, so it is easy to apply and easy to adjust. This line has a lot of natural shades that I really enjoy. It won's make your lips very dry. But it is not super long lasting and will leave slight stain after you swipe it. In a word, I really like these lip cream and a lot of them are my go to lipsticks!

Hope you find this swatch video useful and please enjoy!

Beauty Blender VS Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

After starting using the real techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, I wanted to try beauty blender and see how good it is. But to be honest, I was not very impressed by the result of beauty blender.

dry

dry

wet

wet

Sorry my beauty blender is a little dirty when it's dry. We can see when they are both dry, Beauty blender (BB) is obviously smaller than Real Techniques one (RT). When they are in wet condition, BB turned bigger a lot and RT just turned bigger a little.

About the quality, I will say definitely BB is better than RT. I don't know if it is just my unlucky that I got one RT sponge broke after I washed it for the very first time. But I have washed BB for several times and it is still in a good condition.

When they are both wet, BB feels more elasticity than RT and RT seems remain more water inside so it feels softer in hand. The only problem about BB is it will leave color in the water when you wash it, so get a white one is a better choice.

Then I will show the pictures of my skin before and after applied foundation with these two sponges.

I have dry skin with some freckles. Apply foundation with wet sponge is always a good way for me. Using sponge will achieve light to medium coverage but it's buildable. The results of these two sponges, to be honest, I didn't feel much difference. Maybe BB is a little bit finer than RT. That's why I said that I was not much impressed by BB.

About the price, RT is USD$6 on its official website and it is about CAD$10 in Canada (Amazon.ca). BB is USD$19.99 on its official website while it is CAD$26 in Canada (Sephora). But for the quality, I think beauty blender worth it. Also I heard from a lot of people that the quality of Real Techniques sponge is not always the same. So my opinion is if you have low budget, I will say RT is a good choice. But I think BB's quality is worth the money.

Sonia Kashuk Holiday Limited Edition Jazzed Up Nudes Lip Palette Review & Lip Swatches

Sonia Kashuk® Holiday Limited Edition Jazzed Up Nudes Lip Palette ($19.99)

As we all know that Target is going to quit Canada market. Before it started liquidation, I got this Sonia Kashuk nude lip palette. The package is simple but pretty with a big mirror and a lip brush. Let's see the swatches.
 The first color is the lightest one in the palette. This color is a nude pink.

The second one is more like a brown nude.

The third one is more orange than the second one.

Compare to earlier, this color has a red tone. Still a little orange but also red.

This is the darkest shade in the palette but still very natural. I definitely see some purple tone in it. It is like a dusty rose color.

The colors in this palette are all very natural and quite similar. It will be a good idea to mix these color together to get the color you want. If you are also a big fan of these "your lip but better" color like me, it will be your favorite. The formula of this product is very moisturizing and applies very smoothly to the lip, but you need to build up the color. The smell is nice like vanilla cream. It's a little bit sticky but you can barely feel it. The package and color range are definitely my love so I recommend it. But it is not a product that is easy to take outside and use it. If you don't care about that, this is a good product for nude lipstick lovers.
